Not til she got to high school did Pilar Lastra realize the only way to have a world of opportunities open in front of her was to leave sleepy San Antonio and move west. Before she knew it, Pilar was headed to Hollywood to pursue a career in acing. Unfortunately, the trip west would present some unexpected challenges as her Mustang broke down and she almost ran out of money before arriving at her destination. Sadly, upon arriving to Hollywood, the only job she could find was at a TGI Fridays. The move was a complete disappointment, Pilar put on 38 pounds, got depressed and ultimately moved back to San Antoino.
Not one to take things laying down, Pilar got back into shape, dropped the 38 pounds and went back to LA for a second shot. This time, it paid off she landed her first acting job in an independent film titled, "Malibu Spring Break" where she played the role of Gloria. Her luck continued to pay off when one of Playboy's Senior Photo editors (Great job) saw the movie and before she knew it, Pilar Lastra had become Miss August 2004.
Since then, Pilar’s career has taken off and she has had many appearances on a variety of soaps, Las Vegas and now Deal or No Deal.
